Youth Livestock Auction
Winning exhibitors are eligible to sell their project through a live auction where sponsors pay premium prices to these premium kids. The last several months, these youth have invested their time, compassion and energy with their animals in hopes of walking away with the Grand Champion Prize.
The livestock projects are simply the vehicle used to teach our kids important lessons in life like responsibility, leadership, communication, hard work and dedication.
The 2012 Youth Livestock Auction was a huge success! A total of 256 4-H and FFA youth from across the state placed high enough in their respective competitions to qualify for a lot in this year's sale. The weather was perfect, the buyer's came with loaded wallets and it was a great day for everyone involved directly with the sale and for future State Fair of Texas Scholarship recipients! Simply return them to the Livestock Office and we'll get them into the hands of your buyers! A Big-Tex-sized thank you to our Buyers for their continued support and belief in the youth of Texas!
